I am schizophrenic and have been for as long as I can remember. Catching the disease early before a person has trouble with their lives would be a godsend. I thought that it was normal to hear voices and have hallucinations. I eventually sought help as the sympoms consumed my life and I joked with my DR asking him if the voices in my head were bothering him. He talked to me about it and when it got over his head he sent me to a nurses practitioner that subscribed several drugs before choosing Geodon. My life is so much better now. I still have voices and hallucinations and dreams that wake me up but. I am able to hold down a job now and am a much better person than I was. I hope that reasearch continues and that medical coverage is extended to everyone in this country. It would make us better citizens and better people. More productive and more able to resist the dark side of life.

This research is so needed. My sister lived her entire adult life afflicted with uncontrolled schizophrenia. It was devastating for the entire family. Thank you - keep looking for a way to treat or cure this horrible disease.
