Overlook Road Safety and Land in Hell

Life of a human being is a precious gift of God. While doctors and scientists work hard to save human lives, many lives are lost in road accidents. Newspapers abound in such accidents and various TV channels telecast the gruesome accident scenes.

Causes for road accidents are manifold. One is ignorance of road rules. This can be weeded out through mass media and road-safety campaigns.

More serious is the breach of road rules by people who are familiar with them. They deliberately flout the rules in a playful mood or in a drunken state. They cause death and destruction not only to themselves but also to the innocent by-standers.

Licences should be issued only to those who possess a minimum qualification and pass a taxing examination on road rules and road safety. Constructing good roads and maintaining them properly will also go a long way to avert road accidents.

just the other day a friend of mine was killed in a car wreck. the road he was on had a sharp curve that if u want more then 15mph u probaly would wreck. also the road is banked the wrong way in that curve. an my friend went off the road in hit a tree head on .

One of the most serious and flagrant violators of road safety in my experience during many, many years of enduring long commutes on our major highways are the police themselves. It’s very common to see police cars tearing down the freeway or congested streets at breakneck speed weaving in and out of traffic, cutting people off and exiting the lane of travel from the #1 lane with no lights, no siren, no light bar turned on. It’s as if their attitude is “if I strike another car, kill a pedestrian or another driver, so what? I’m immune from prosecution!” “Look out for me, I’m a space cowboy!” In addition, I don’t think they know that the lever on the left side of the steering column is for signaling a turn. Or they’re just too lazy to follow the rules of the road everyone else is expected to follow. Don’t even TRY to call their station to report them. All you get is a rash of sh1t.

Yeah driving fast is really cool. No, it’s fun. It’s good to tailgate slow people. It makes them go faster. Who cares about stop signs and all that crap?

‘Till a speeding motorcyclist collides with your car and dies at the scene. Even though you were applying to the rules most of the time before it happened, you never will drive with disregard to the rules again. Not once. And, cute and fun risky driving now makes you sick.

Yes, I agree with the person who said- the Cops are some of the worst drivers on the Highway.I see it all the time. I just wish that (I) could pull some of them over and give them a TICKET for all the wrong things they do while driving. No turn sigs and the speeding they do without lights or the siren on.I do think sometime they think they are obove the law, and use the radio you cops have instead of speeding to chase a car, that is why they put them in your patrol cars.DU DU DU

Oh, and I can spell above, and duh,just got too fast and did not ck. before sending the e-mail.
But PLEASE- all slow down and use some common sense.Stay in the correct lane when making a left turn.Most drivers do not know the inside lane is the lane to go to.Most just turn left and go straight to the outside land.
