The only way soy should be consumed is after it's been fermented. Since the food industry adds it to almost everything processed it's hard to get away from the stuff. It's a cheap filler and they're trying to justify poisoning our population. Regardless of the propaganda, soy's really, really, really NOT good for you....see first response from A.Burke! (Arlette, is that you?)

Once ingested soy mimics estrogen. In women with estogen positive breast cancer it is harmful for soy or anything soy related to be ingested. Many women don't know they have breast cancer until they are tested or find a lump. By that time they may be eating soy/tofu, ect. and this may be feeding there estogen positive breast cancer.

Another case of the traditional medical community being light years behind. Soy is NOT our pal. Fermented soy, such as miso, MAY have some slight benefits, but certainly not the mistery stuff that is being used as a cheap protein subsitute. It does increase the estrogen levels and elevated estrogen levels are a proven cause of breast cancer. Leveled estrogen levels also make you fat, fat, fat, especially if you read a carton of soy milk. One serving of soy milk has more carbohydrates than the average candy bar. Now... if they would also quit pushing calicum for women, we may just have a fighting chance for better health.

Soy converts testosterone to estrogen. This mechanism causes cancer rather than preventing it in women. In men this mechanism is documented to cause depression. Soy also leaches aluminum and fluoride from the soil through its root system. It has been well established that aluminum fluoride can cause Alzheimer disease.
