I take 1 garlic capsule and 1 hawthorne capsule with food
twice a day with food. Garlicin garlic capsules are the best because they release more allicin than other brands. "Nature's Way" is the brand. At first, I doubled the dose for 1 week to get started. Please consult your doctor if you are on blood pressure medication but remember that thse are natural foods so they can't hurt you.

I have been taking garlic capsules, hawthorne capsules(natural herb), and eating parsley. My blood pressure has dropped from 156 over 94, to 128 over 73 in about 3 weeks.

In my particular case a good deal of my high blood pressure was caused by stress. I take time out of each day (about 20 minutes) to practice paced breathing. When we breathe at a nice relaxed pace (10 breaths or less per minute) our whole body relaxes reducing muscle tension and letting the blood flow better for lower pressure. You need to do this on a consistent basis (at least four days a week is good). There are several devices that will help you to pace your breathing correctly. I use the Pressure Perfect (It combines breathing and squeezing exercises) but there's also the RESPeRATE and the ZONA. I also try to stay away from sugar and caffeine because they tend to make me a bit jumpy and nervous. Good luck to all!

Lowered blood pressure 30-40 points by exercising daily using a recumbent bike. Began exercising 5/31/09. Lost 28 lbs. since then. Staying away from desserts, drinking green tea, taking 2 acai berry pills daily, eating fresh fruits, vegetables and avoiding fatty foods, no fast food, smaller portions. Eating a 400 calorie breakfast, avoid lunch and eating a moderate dinner. Back pain has gone away and feel great. No gimmicks...just common sense....well on my way from 254 to 186 with present weight at 226. A lot of work but feel great. Try this yourself. Much success.

Water exercise puts less stress on your joints; walking is good, too. Be happy that you are on the right track.

Greetings:
As a woman who is 65; I have entered the stage in life where I have had to endure chronic osteoarthritis. I've already had two hip replacements and one knee arthroscopy behind me with another hip (adjustment...if you will) and a separate knee replacement to go.
At approximately 5'6" (I'm shorter on one side); I weigh about 190 pounds. I would very much like to lose this weight and tone up my body muscles. I hope to join YMCA where they have a great water arobics class as soon as I get healed up from my last surgery. Other than that, I don't know what to do to lose this weight. My exercises are limited so as not to mess up the titanium pieces in my hips.
I'm relatively familiar with what foods I should or should not eat and of the portions. However, I'm not sure what exercises and in what duration I should use these exercises. Please, if anyone 'out there' can help me with this one, I would sure appreciate it.
Thank you one and all...and may God bless...
