Most of the comments are loaded with hate and plain ignorance.They will not give Obama credit for anything no matter what he does. If the economy stays in the pit ,it is his fault. If the economy rebounds, it was going to come back anyway. Obama is one of the most hardworking , intelligent presidents in my lifetime. Don’t let the color of his skin get under your skin. You can deny that this is the problem, but we all know better!!!

Yes this country was in a mess when Obama took office. He however has done nothing to make it any better. Yes he is making it a lot worse. NAFTA remember that came during the Clinton administration and it did hurt and continues to hurt this country. The housing disaster I believe Barney Frank had a huge part in that as well as the Clinton administration. Bush did succeed in keeping us safe but he did little to help the economy either. Under Obama things will get even worse than with the last two administrations with his health care which this country DOES NOT NEED AND CANNOT AFFORD it only needs regulations on what we have and expecially tarp reform which would probably help the situation much, his cap and trade which will destroy even more jobs not to mention all the average people it will destroy because it’s hard enough to pay the utility bills now especially on unemployment and the higher taxes it will bring. And the price of gas just keeps going up why not DRILL HERE AND DRILL NOW. Were you all sleeping when Bush opened some of the gas reservres REBEMBER THAT”S WHEN GAS CAME BACK DOWN IN PRICE! Now it’s on it’s way up again because they know this President will never do that it might help the working class. I guess if this health care bill does support euthinasia it might be a necessary thing when we are all out on the streets to put us out of our misery!
I say demorcrat or republican when election comes make sure the incumbants don’t get back in. Let’s give some others a chance to mess things up or maybe it will inspire them to do thing right!RJEM

I’ts amazing how misinformed some people are. Obama was elected for the changes he’s making now. For the last 8 years of the Bush administration all we had was a government that supported the wealthy and big business. We finally get a President who cares for the working class and I hear people complain. Do all of you people have a short memory?
The Party of NO (Republicans) want to forget about what Bush did to this country and at the same time want more of the same. More tax cuts for the wealthy and big Oil. Oh yes, that will really help. Bunch of Morons !!!

NO! I live in California and it is very difficult to find a job similar to what I have done in the past. I have a BA in Business Administration and no one seems to want to even offer me interview time, much less a job. I have a great business background and have worked all of my life (nearing 60 years old – probably the problem) and job offers are non-existant. Companies figure they can hire two or three people half my age for 1/3 the cost. At this point, I would settle for that salary! The President and Congress have not got a clue to what it will take to turn things around. They just want to get re-elected and he just wants to have fun! Try living in our shoes and paying bills when unemployment insurance has run out and we have 10 or 12 prescriptions to purchase each month, pay mortgage, buy food, etc. Their programs are not helping, especially when you live in a state that the governor can’t even pronounce the name of the state! The whole situation is a disaster from Sacramento to Washington, D.C.

People,People,People, No one is going to solve our problems overnight regardless of who is in. Bush left us in an aweful way. Remember Nafta thats what started this whole mess. Our own Large Companys in American dropped the baggage and ran out of the country, started downsizing and closing without any reason except their own greed. How about Wall Street Greed and all this the changing of all the Big Banks, Which is still going on everyday. Greed. The Insurance Industry some more Greed. Stop Judging and placing blame… Think of where we would be if Obama had not won the Election… So get over it! P. S. I lost my great unionized job, But I Dont blame Obama.

OMG, every time I read the comments on AOL I am shocked by how hostile, ill-informed, partisan and generally obnoxious the majority of the comments are. Perhaps less time listening to morons like Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter, etc., and more time reading would do you folks some good. Like it or not, the American people elected Obama to make a change to the dishonesty and gross incompetence of the previous administration. If you’re not happy about the change, try voting next time and stop the ridiculous blathering about communists, birth certificates and the like.
