I was delighted to see a Dr. actually advise AGAINST spinal fusion. It has destroyed my life. And destroyed the lives of countless Americans & others who were duped by orthopedic surgeons who offer this as a solution to your pain after plying you with copius amounts of pain meds, then after the surgery, which inevitably fails, they abandon you to pain clinics. Then you start getting labeled a drug addict, even though you went to the surgeon on the advise of your MD, who didn’t want to keep giving you those pain drugs. Now-the DEA has systematically run all those pain specialists either out of business, or has the remaining ones so scared to prescribe, you can’t get ANY relief.
This butchering has full backing by the Orthopedic Society in the sense that the horrible stats on failure are well guarded by them, & the statue of limitations to sue for malpractices & lifelong damages is 2 years, & the health insurance policy you have will take any & all awards you win, on the very, very slim chance you can even find an atorney to go to court.
I hope that SOMEDAY justice will be served in that all of these bastards who ruined our lives will suffer all the intracable pain , suffering & financial & emotional security losses they inflicted on us.
As of 12/09 they who destroyed our lives walk free from fear that they will ever pay for this crime.
Ironic that the oath they took as new doctors starts with “FIRST-DO NO HARM.”

Well I have always had back pain. However it has stop me from doing so many things. Simple task sweeping, mopping, among other things. Can’t be standing or laying on my back up for long. I have gone to my Chiropator for years. Yes he has ajusted and days later I am in pain again.
I know for a fact that I now have arthities on my back and neck. My neurologies tells me not to let him ajust me. Don’t know know what else to do. Then to continue taking muscle relaxers, a medicine for my arthiities with a pain medicine, and a pill to sleep. There are other medicines that I should be taking, but they are too expensive to buy.
I would like you to know that I have started to meditate and learning about Buddist Meditation. I have learn what and how you can benifit from Meditation…It has change me..pain will disapper that is what I will hope to accomplish..

I would agree that there is an epidemic of back and neck pain througout the world. This is a modern lifestyle problem cause by poor posture, inadequate exercies and excessive computer use at work and at home.
Prevention is still the key. Otherwise you will end up needing spine surgery. Fortunately for some, advanced spine microsurgery and non-fusion devices including artificial discs will help save their spines.
